The Girl
My name is Samantha. I am a twenty-something aspiring musical theatre performer who has recently relocated to the greater Chicagoland area. My weight has held me back for years, keeping me from being truely successful in the things I care about most. Now that I'm in a new city, living a new life ... enough is enough! Time to finally finish what I've started.

I Don't Want to Eat
Thursday, January 5, 2012
Perhaps ketosis has kicked in sooner than I'd expected, but today I found it very hard to eat. I woke up and had some Scrambled Eggs with a little bit of shredded cheese. I forgot how good the eggs are. So sad I only have three boxes! A couple hours later I had a Peanut Butter Crunch Bar, and that was enough to tie my over until my Lean and Green - a large turkey sausage, a salad, and some Walden Farms Coleslaw. I only ate about two thirds of the sausage and a few bites of the coleslaw. I did finish the salad, but really only because I put dressing on it and I didn't want it to get soggy before I got home. The other foods would keep and I could finish them later. After lunch I wasn't hungry for the rest of the afternoon and didn't eat again until I got home from work and I finished my sausage and coleslaw. About an hour ago I had some Chocolate Pudding that I let freeze overnight. So, all in all, I'm two meals short for the day. I really don't think I'll be getting them in either. I'm starting to come down with a cold so I want to get to sleep early tonight - probably within the next hour or so. I know it's not good to skip meals, but today for some reason food just was not on my mind. I guess that's not a horrible thing though, now that I think about it.
Coming down with a cold might not be the worst thing for me now either. A relaxing weekend at home with nothing but Medifast is just what I need right now. I have recipes swarming through my head, some I've tried already and some I haven't. The one that is sticking in my mind the most at this moment in time is Cauliflower Pizza. I never tried it my first time around. I had pizza on Medifast but it was using some soup for the crust. It was great, but it did take a lot of food out of your day (part of your L&G and a meal). With the Cauliflower Pizza, the crust is made out of only green. I can't wait to try it! Pictures I've seen all over the boards and in blogs look just amazing! I told my room mate I'd wait until Saturday so she could help, but I think I may cave and make it tomorrow night!
Speaking of tomorrow. I think I'm going to revert back to eating my Lean and Green at night. Now that I'm potentially in ketosis maybe I won't be as hungry as I was Monday and Tuesday, and therefore will be able to wait until the evening to eat my larger meal. Plus it'll force me to get in all of my Medifast meals throughout the day. Hmm ... yepp. I think I'll have to try that.
