The Girl

My name is Samantha. I am a twenty-something aspiring musical theatre performer who has recently relocated to the greater Chicagoland area. My weight has held me back for years, keeping me from being truely successful in the things I care about most. Now that I'm in a new city, living a new life ... enough is enough! Time to finally finish what I've started.

Condiments and Coupons

If you're anything like me, you love your condiments. Chips and veggies have always tasted better with dip. Pancakes aren't worth eating unless they are covered in syrup. Salads are only as good as their dressings. Unfortunately, because these non-food items usually are high in calories, pounds slowly creep on almost secretively. Maybe you didn't eat a lot of that pasta, but how many calories were in that sauce? This is the main reason why almost every single diet on the market limits your condiment intake, or eliminations them all together. That's why, after joining Medifast my first time around, I was psyched to discover Walden Farms products. They have just about everything you can think of - syrups, dips, peanut butter, jellies, mayonnaise, salad dressings, barbecue sauce, ketchup, pasta sauces... to name only a few. Skeptical, but even more curious, I ordered some items. Unfortunately this was right near the end of my run with Medifast and so some of the products I did order I was never able to sample (Onion Dip, Mayonnaise, Coleslaw Dressing, and Alfredo Sauce - all of which I'm excited to try as soon as possible!) but those that I did try I loved!

However, there are two drawbacks to Walden Farms. 1) For me at least, WF products are not sold in any local stores, so I have to order online - which obviously results in shipping charges, and 2) The products themselves are somewhat expensive. Not horribly expensive, but definitely more than just running up to the grocery store. Living on my own for the first time, I'm definitely all about bargain shopping and although I knew how good the products were, I decided to skip out on ordering anything for my second round of Medifast and just use up the four products I still have left over from round one.

That is until I found this post on the Discussion Boards at MyMedifast.com. WHAT!? Buy ten get FIVE free!? I jumped on it! I ordered three bottles of Pancake Syrup and seven bottles of Bacon Ranch Dressing - can you tell what I like the most? Although, after sleeping on it, I realized I've been wanting to try their Seafood Sauce on some shrimp cocktail since my first round, so I sent a message to customer support and hopefully they can switch out one of my dressings for the sauce. Either way, I'm pumped. Saving $25 always makes you feel good!
